  Pointe of PraisePointe of Praise is the dance ministry of Westover Church for girls between grades seven and twelve who regularly attend Westover. We seek to glorify God through dance, grow in our personal worship and lead Westover to worship the Lord through this unique art form. Dancers must have completed three years of ballet prior to joining Pointe of Praise and must be currently enrolled in a modern, ballet, or jazz class at a legitimate dance studio. Pointe of Praise rehearsals are every Sunday at 8 a.m. Additional rehearsals are scheduled as needed. Adoration Dance MinistryAdoration Dance Ministry promotes a “vertical” ministry - from the dancer to the Lord, providing a chance for members of the Westover community to come together and utilize dance for the purpose of worship (Psalm 149:3). There are two opportunities within Adoration for female dancers, both youth and adult: Adoration Praise Classes meet weekly at 9:30 on Sunday mornings in S108. Classes are open to anyone 6th grade and above, regardless of dance experience. Worshippers will be led in a devotion or study, together with simple choreography. Occasional performance opportunities will be offered, but not required. In addition to the familiar lyrical style, Adoration Praise classes will explore other styles such as hip hop, jazz, African, Hebrew, or other ethnic styles of dance. Adoration Performance Company is a worship performance company for female dancers from 7th grade through adult, who regularly attend Westover Church. The Company seeks to glorify God through dance, grow in personal worship and lead Westover to worship the Lord through this unique art form. Dancers for the Performance Company are recruited by invitation only from the Praise classes.
