How can you be involved in Global Ministries?

The Lord of the harvest challenges you to be reapers in Greensboro and to the ripe harvest fields worldwide. All members of Westover are encouraged to avail themselves of information regarding Global Ministries. The members of the Global Ministries Team are here to help you. If you have any suggestions, questions or recommendations, please feel free to contact any of the members.

Here are some specific ways you can be involved:

• Serve Short Term. Those serving in a Short Term capacity may spend from one week to two years in the field. The opportunities for short term service are unlimited as needs for teachers, medical personnel, accountants, builders, engineers, maintenance personnel, mechanics, cooks and many other abilities are needed.
  • Each year Westover sends out multiple Short Term Teams to do various types of outreaches, building projects or other needs requested by our missionaries or as determined by the GM Staff and/or Short Term Leadership Team.
• Visit the Global Ministries Interactive Wall. Learn more about Westover's supported missionaries, as well as opportunities for you to plug in to ministry.
• Join a Global Ministry Team:  • Fall Global Celebration Team  • Short Term Leadership Team  • Special Projects & Support Team (Assists missionaries with special needs)  • Refugees Team  • Abolition! Team  • Business As Mission (BAM) Team  • Technology Team  • HIV/AIDS Team (Including Orphans Impacted by AIDS)  • 4/14 Window Team (Children and Orphan Ministries)  • Disaster Relief Team.  If you are interested in joining a GM Team, please contact the Global Admin: Beth Reitz at 299-7374 x 3042 or breitz@westoverchurch.com
• Read the blogs or receive email updates from the missionaries. Contact the GM office to request being added to a missionary's email contact list or find out their blog address: llewey@westoverchurch.com
• Become a missionary writer for the Global Intercessor and establish a personal relationship with a Westover Supported Missionary. Contact Beth Reitz at 299-7374 x 3042 or breitz@westoverchurch.com.
• Be creative:  Share your ideas with us. What are other ways you can care for Westover’s Global Family?
