Beirut, Lebanon

Description: Participate in a 3-day camp for 55 local teenagers that will provide a meaningful opportunity to enrich their knowledge of Jesus and His love in an active, recreational setting.  Activities include: Guest speakers, Devotions, Bible Study & Discussions; Group Games and Outdoor Activities; Evening Entertainment Program. (Please note, the decision to go forward with this STT is contingent upon the political status in Beirut prior to departure.)

Ecuador

Description:  We will be partnering with Ryan and Erica Coryell’s church to go to the jungle in Shandia, which is the area where Jim Elliot went.  We will likely do some VBS as well as help with some construction on the seminary that is being built there.  We will be spending approximately 5 days in the jungle, 2 days at El Refugio and a day doing some tourism in Quito.

Description: Working alongside Rick and Emily Everswick with Redeemers House.  Will be working with the impoverished in the city of Panajachel. This team will have the opportunity to visit families in their homes, will participate in after school programs which help local children with reading, math and English. There will also be small projects for families in need of minor home repairs.

Kenya

Description: The team will work with Westover supported missionaires, Steve & Melinda McMillan, at Rift Valley Academy. We will be doing various activities including: VBS for missionary kids; outreach projects to the Kenyan community, such as work with orphanages and showing the Jesus film to the Maasai people; and service projects on the Rift Valley Academy campus, such as painting and light construction.

Description:  Work alongside of Alex Rodriguez and his ministry to assist in relationship building with the unreached Mixteco people group. The Team will show the love of Christ to soften social barriers and help Alex’s ministry gain credibility in an area with the highest concentration of unreached people groups in the Western hemisphere!

Description: We are excited for the opportunity to help at the Word of Life Camp alongside two Westover supported families:  Mike & Marti Foster and John & Shannon Foster.  There are a variety of projects for the completion of the dorm that can be done by both skilled and unskilled volunteers. There will also be an opportunity for outreach in the area.

Description: Join a team who will come alongside children who have lost one or both parents due to HIV. It will be a trip that is a combination of physical work, helping with some light construction/painting, and investing/loving on the children andt the Aunties who care for them.
