Welcoming Ministries are the first contact for many who come to Westover.

The parking team arrives early to put out signs, pray together and prepare for traffic coming on the campus. They provide safe direction to the cars in the lot and are usually the first to greet a guest at their car. This godly group of servants prays for the people they see each week, and for safety and hearts open to the message that day. Consider being a part of this team that seeks to be a blessing before a guest enters the building!

The greeting team serves at each entry to the building providing a friendly greeting and any additional assistance needed by those entering the doors. They help guests to the welcome centers where they can gather information about Westover and are always ready to offer a smile and a hug. If that sounds like you, consider serving on this team!

The guide team helps each guest to Westover (and even those who have been here awhile) find his or her destination. Always easy to spot in their burgundy vests, the guides know the building inside and out and are able to provide much information about events as well. Whether you are good with a compass or not, this may be the team for you.

The Connection Pointe centers are located in the main lobby, just outside the worship center and in the atrium near the baptismal pool. The folks who work here are ready to help guests learn what is available to them and answer questions that anyone has. Class dates, upcoming events, times and signup information are all available at Connection Pointe.

The ushering team takes care of people once they enter the worship center. They hand out bulletins, provide seating guidance, assist with wheelchairs or other needs and are involved in taking the offering. One of the largest teams at Westover, this team seeks to learn the names of those who come through the doors.
welcoming2The shuttle bus team is a dedicated group of folks who drive the shuttle buses each weekend to assist people from off-site parking to the front door of the church. They provide safe and friendly transportation, especially welcome in bad weather conditions.

The coffee ministry, called Common Grounds, is one of the newest Westover ministries. Coffee is served at the basement level in the Commons, in the Atrium and just outside the Main Lobby before and between services. The Commons is a great place to meet and visit with friends over a great cup of coffee. Consider being part of this growing ministry.
