Operation Christmas Child 

Westover is a longstanding partner of Operation Christmas Child, and we two ways you can get involved!

1) Pack a shoebox! 

We have shoeboxes and instructions available at our Local Missions Wall. We also have an incredible Volunteer Team that would love to answer any questions or assist you in getting your family, group, or neighborhood involved. Want to build a shoebox online? Click here. 2) Serve during National Collection Week! 

Westover serves as a collection site for shoeboxes in the greater Greensboro area. During collection week (November 18–25), we are expecting to collect over 20,000 shoeboxes! We need a LOT of hands to help this happen. Click here to sign up to help! 

3) Serve at one of the OCC Shoebox Processing Centers!

Ring the Bell

Ring the Bell Volunteers are valuable assets in The Salvation Army’s efforts to meet the changing needs of our world! Westover Local Missions partners with The Salvation Army to provide bell-ringers at the Battleground WalMart on Fridays and Saturdays in December.

Choose An Ornament Tree

This year, Westover is partnering with 4 organizations through  “Choose an Ornament Tree”: 

1) Proehlific Park’s P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation

2) The Family Room (resources for foster and adoptive families)

3) The IRC (Interactive Resource Center, coming alongside those experiencing homelessness)

4) Senior Resources of Guilford

Stop by the tree at the LocalMissions Wall or in our main lobby and choose an ornament, or select an ornament online.

Christmas Eve Services

Join us for Westover's Christmas Eve services at 4pm* or 6pm! This will be an evening filled with heartfelt worship, a  Christmas message, and candlelight song. Gather with family and friends to embrace the spirit of Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with us. 
All are welcome, and we can't wait to share this special evening with you! See you at 4pm* or 6pm on Christmas Eve!
