Christmas Outreach
Each year, we approach the Christmas season with joyful celebration of God’s greatest gift, through the sending of His One and Only Son, Jesus, who was born into the world as Immanuel – God with us! (Matthew 1:22-23). While our observance of Christmastime and Advent season this year will be no different, we do so in the midst of a year that has been one of the most challenging in recent memory.
In response to the gift of God’s grace and goodness in Jesus Christ, we celebrate the Christmas season is through the generous giving of our time, finances and material gifts. Because the needs are especially great this year, below you will find numerous opportunities to bring relief and hope to the world around us this Christmas.

Stop by the Local Missions Wall to select an ornament with wish list items or select an ornament online:
Please bring P.O.W.E.R. of Play UNWRAPPED gifts to Westover or Proehlific Park by Monday, November 25. Attach the ornament to the bag of gifts.
Senior Resources items need to be brought to Westover by Monday, November 25
If you choose a Family Room or The Interactive Resource Center ornament, please return unwrapped items to church by December 16, with the ornament attached to the gifts.
Operation Christmas Child
Westover is a longstanding partner of Operation Christmas Child, and we have a variety of ways you can get involved!
- Pack a shoebox! Pick up an empty box at the local Missions Wall . Here is a suggested list of items.
- Pack a shoebox!online. Online boxes are sent to hard-to-reach communities.
- Sign-up to serve at Westover during National Collection Week– November 18-25 (Mon-Sat, 9am-12pm; Sunday, 9am-4pm; Mon (Nov. 25, 9am-12pm).
- Serve at the Boone Processing Center on Saturday, November 30, 4-10pm. Sign Up Here
- Serve at the Charlotte Processing Center on Saturday, December 7, 4- 10pm. Sign Up Here
Ring The Bell for Salvation Army
Westover Local Missions partners with The Salvation Army each Christmas to provide bell-ringers at the Battleground WalMart. Volunteers are valuable assets in The Salvation Army's efforts to meet the changing needs of our world. You are signing up directly with Salvation Army.
